About Us

Dr. Darren Kizer is a volunteerism, family ministry, and leadership expert. He earned a doctorate in these areas from Nova Southeastern University, and has done comprehensive research surrounding volunteer satisfaction, organizational leadership, and change management. He is the co-author of The Volunteer Project: Stop Recruiting. Start Retaining.
Darren has spent nearly 20+ years in nonprofit work including roles focused on forming new partnerships and helping the leaders of unique ministry strategies win. Earlier in his career, Darren spent 12 years as the Executive Family Ministries Pastor of a growing multi-site church in Pennsylvania.
In his downtime, Darren enjoys building stuff and participating in endurance sports. He and his wife, Becky, have two grown children. The Kizer's are enjoying their empty-nest years on Georgia’s Lake Lanier, where their home is always open to a gaggle of superb friends and mediocre pets.
